This Privacy Policy explains what information FileGru ("we", "us") collects when you use our file-sharing service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account details — first name, last name and email address when you register.
• Files you upload — stored with our cloud storage provider until they expire or you delete them.
• Technical data — IP address, approximate country (derived from your IP), browser and operating system. We record this for logins, uploads, downloads and page visits to operate the service, count unique downloads, prevent abuse and produce aggregate statistics.
• Payment data — payments are processed by PayPal or our cryptocurrency payment processor. We never see or store your card number, PayPal credentials or wallet keys; we only keep the transaction reference, amount and status.
• Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, a browser-verification cookie that protects downloads from bots, and a 30-day referral cookie when you arrive through a referral link.

2. How we use information

• To provide the service: store, share and deliver your files.
• To enforce plan limits, retention windows and our Terms of Use.
• To fight spam, fraud and abuse (including rate limiting and geo statistics).
• To pay referral commissions you have earned.
• To answer messages you send us.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors needed to run the service: our cloud storage provider (file content), payment processors (transaction handling), and e-mail delivery. Each processor receives only what it needs.

4. Retention

• Files follow your plan's retention rules and are permanently deleted after expiry.
• Interrupted uploads are removed automatically within hours.
• Server and download logs are kept for statistics and abuse prevention.
• Account data is kept while your account exists.

5. Your rights

You can update your name and email in Settings, delete individual files at any time, and request account deletion or a copy of your data through the contact page. We answer within 30 days.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above always reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
