Refund policy

Refund rules for PayPal and card payments; crypto payments are final.

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased on FileGru. It is designed to be fair to you while complying with the rules of our payment processors, including PayPal.

1. PayPal & card payments

  • First purchase, 7-day guarantee — if this is your first paid subscription and you request a refund within 7 days of payment, we will refund you in full, provided the plan has not been substantially used (fair-use: less than 10% of the plan's storage used and fewer than 100 downloads served).
  • Renewals — renewal charges are not refundable. You can cancel at any time before the renewal date and keep access until the end of the paid period.
  • Upgrades — upgrades take effect immediately and are not refundable once the new plan is active.
  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

2. Cryptocurrency payments — no refunds

All payments made with cryptocurrency are final and non-refundable. Blockchain transactions are irreversible and exchange rates fluctuate, which makes refunds impossible to process fairly. Please double-check the plan, interval and amount before paying with crypto.

3. Referral-balance payments

Subscriptions paid with referral balance are non-refundable; the balance was already applied as full payment.

4. How to request a refund

Use the contact page with the subject "Refund" and include your account email and the transaction number (visible under My Subscription → Transactions). We reply within 2 business days.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a dispute with PayPal or your bank — most issues are resolved faster directly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of the account until the dispute is resolved.

6. Service failure

If a verified outage or fault on our side prevents you from using a paid feature for more than 72 consecutive hours, you may request a pro-rated credit or refund for the affected period, regardless of payment method (crypto refunds are issued as account credit).
